DRAGON FARTS

| | Comments (5)

dragons3_70[1].jpg Big thank you’s to any of those who sent off a note or two to the great folks over at DRAGON CON. It is very much appreciated.

It didn’t work… but what the hell. (Never stop believing. Hitler failed at house painting and look what happend to HIM.)

Still, I’ve decided to come out to Atlanta, take part in the Film Festival, Convention and to meet the whole gang. I’ve had some great fan support regarding my coming out to Dragon Con and numerous invitations to take part in so many aspects of it all, I’d be a fool NOT to go. That said, watch for me in Atlanta and make a point of coming up to say hello. I may just be crashing a panel or two, a parade, a banquet, couple of VIP thingy’s and a human sacrifice. Should be quite the weekend.

Think I’m going to dress up as GARTH VADER. The guitar playing Empirical space cowboy.

THERE'S A FALAFEL IN THE POOL

images.jpeg I know, I know.

Hasn’t been much in the way of a blog these last couple months. Too many people dying. Kind of knocked the wind out of me. No opinion opined. No salutations, provocations… nor contemplations to tickle (or spit) in the eye balls. Hell, there hasn’t even been a film review. (‘Get Smart’ sucked… There.)

Makes for a pretty crappy blog.

So, I’ve pulled the question marks out of my asterisk and decided to start hitting the keys again. Love, politics, urinals, pop culture and cinematic pursuits. I’ve a new tumbler of indigo and have begun to dip my quill. And so, for the few of you out there that still come by for a cup of sugar (or flounder to the face), I appreciate your your making the trip. Mighty neighborly. As for the other 6 1/2 billion that don’t even know this site exists? Check out Get Smart.

But I would like to throw out a little ‘yippity doo’ to the Iranian dipshit swimmer who refused to get into the pool during last weeks Olympic Qualifier. Turns out one of the other athletes competing against him was a Jew. And since Iran hasn’t yet developed their new ‘Jew chlorine’ the swimmer felt it best to go pee pee on his dream, as opposed to in the pool.

It is to him I say, ‘Mohammed. Asshole… May you forever find hummus in your speedo.’

SUMMER FUN

| | Comments (2)

Hey everyone.

Nothing to report just yet. Some very cool things happening with CENTIGRADE, but nothing official just yet.

That said, hope everyone is having a great summer.

Keep you posted.

HELLO EVERYONE.

Just a quick FYI that I will be attending GATECON in Vancouver on the 22nd(?) of August in Vancouver and that there will be a bit of a tribute to Don Davis. It will be great to see the fans (or should I say ‘family’) and I suspect a sad, but grand time will be had by all. I may also be attending the Dragon*Con film festival in Atlanta (CENTIGRADE), but it hasn’t been inked yet. That said, it’s been a little while since we’ve had any Centigrade News so here’s a quick update.

Dragon*Con in Atlanta has invited to screen Centigrade, but as mentioned, we’re trying to work out the details. Also, we’ve also been invited to ‘European Premiere’ the film at the BEST OF SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL in La Ciotat, France. What makes this so cool is the fact that the festival screens ONLY short films and must have taken a ‘BEST OF’ category at another festival in order to qualify. That, and it’s the birthplace of film itself. The first movie camera was invented in La Ciotat and we’re proud to be a part of it. The festival will take place in September.

Secondly, we have also been invited to screen in Spain at SITGES, INTERNATIONAL FANTASTIQUE FILM FESTIVAL (October). Super cool. A film fest in Spain. That said, I am seriously considering going to both. Only problem is that they are almost a month apart and I’m not going to fly back and forth from Canada or Los Angeles. Do NOT have the cash. And so, I’m considering hanging out. Maybe doing a bit of a European Tour if possible. And I wanted to put the word out there that if anyone has a lovely little beach shack in Cannes, a chateau in Madrid or a castle in Ireland, let me know!!!

Also if anyone has any connections or knows of any Conventions or appearances that I might be able to make, that would be a great thing as well. I am checking on a few things, but if anyone has an inside scoop, give me the heads up.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST!

As you know, ZACHARIA FARTED is now for sale through VIDEOMATICA . But as a special, limited time only promotion you can get a FREE COPY of CENTIGRADE with every purchase of ZACHARIA. It’s a great deal. Two films for one low price! Buy five and I’ll throw in a free oven mitt.

And that’s it! Hope all is well with everyone.

Talk soon.

FOR MY FRIEND DON

images-1.jpeg Very hard to write this. My friend died over the weekend.

Don S. Davis was one hell of an actor. The kind of actor that could blow you out of the room simply by standing there. A man of towering presence. Giant presence. Only thing bigger would have been the mans heart. A heart that stopped beating over the weekend.

Don Davis was my friend for 18 years. Long before Stargate SG-1, Don and I traded in front of the camera and laughed off stage. He saw this young actor come in, full of passion and as green as they could be and stand toe to toe with him. The man looked out for me. Believed in me. Supported me. Showed me the ropes. He was my Godfather in this business and the ONLY actor to whom I’ve ever honored. To find myself back on a Don S. Davis set filled me with pride. A quiet debt paid to the man who took me under his wing when no one else did. He was always so proud of me. My success. And I was proud to show him that I was still there. That I hadn’t given up. And so, I owed Don my best game. It was Don who gave me the rules.

I know that for many of the SG fans out there, this is the blackest of days. To wake and find that the giant, booming voice of Don Davis has gone silent is almost impossible to believe.

I am so fucking angry right now.
