TRIBUTES, CONS, FESTIVALS and TWO'fers
HELLO EVERYONE.
Just a quick FYI that I will be attending GATECON in Vancouver on the 22nd(?) of August in Vancouver and that there will be a bit of a tribute to Don Davis. It will be great to see the fans (or should I say ‘family’) and I suspect a sad, but grand time will be had by all. I may also be attending the Dragon*Con film festival in Atlanta (CENTIGRADE), but it hasn’t been inked yet. That said, it’s been a little while since we’ve had any Centigrade News so here’s a quick update.
Dragon*Con in Atlanta has invited to screen Centigrade, but as mentioned, we’re trying to work out the details. Also, we’ve also been invited to ‘European Premiere’ the film at the BEST OF SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL in La Ciotat, France. What makes this so cool is the fact that the festival screens ONLY short films and must have taken a ‘BEST OF’ category at another festival in order to qualify. That, and it’s the birthplace of film itself. The first movie camera was invented in La Ciotat and we’re proud to be a part of it. The festival will take place in September.
Secondly, we have also been invited to screen in Spain at SITGES, INTERNATIONAL FANTASTIQUE FILM FESTIVAL (October). Super cool. A film fest in Spain. That said, I am seriously considering going to both. Only problem is that they are almost a month apart and I’m not going to fly back and forth from Canada or Los Angeles. Do NOT have the cash. And so, I’m considering hanging out. Maybe doing a bit of a European Tour if possible. And I wanted to put the word out there that if anyone has a lovely little beach shack in Cannes, a chateau in Madrid or a castle in Ireland, let me know!!!
Also if anyone has any connections or knows of any Conventions or appearances that I might be able to make, that would be a great thing as well. I am checking on a few things, but if anyone has an inside scoop, give me the heads up.

Wow its all happening!! I’m sure Gatecon will be fantastic, and a wonderful opportunity to honour Don S Davis.
Fresh out of chateaus and beach shacks I’m afraid, can’t help you there. Although I could help you with a one bedroom chalet which makes up half of our back shed in good old sunny Bullsbrook….. No?? Offered!! can’t do any more than that.
Apparently my copy of Zacharia is on its way, I probably got in too soon for the special offer, I know I already have a copy of Centigrade but I have a couple of friends who would gladly break each others arms to relieve me of a spare copy if I had one.
I hope this all makes sense, I went out to a night club for the first time in 10 YEARS!! last night, with a couple of young guys from Melbourne who had to drag me kicking and screaming back to the car at 3.00am to go home, so I’s a bit wobbly today. It was great except when we walked up to the door and the bouncer asked my mates for ID but let me through without even a blink…… BASTARD!!

Zacharia arrived today! I work at the post office sorting mail (extra job saving for holiday) so have been throwing parcels around every morning for a week before everyone else gets in trying to find it!!! :-) What was fragile suppose to mean again???…. But no bonus Centigrade!!! :-( Obviously the early bird does not catch the worm in this case!! Never mind….
Looking forward to watching it, with exchange rate, postage etc it’s the most expensive DVD I’ve ever owned LOL!!! I’m sure it will be worth it!

hi bexter, I finally ordered my copy of Zacharia on the 17th no news on it yet but I will let you know if I get the bonus copy of Centigrade with it….if not then an oven mitt sounds great !!! LOL!!

Hi C Did you ever find out about the extra copy of centigrade? don’t stress, I wanted to give a copy to my best friend Alan, but with your permission I’ll let him burn a copy instead of you having to send one, up until this point he’s been under threat of death should he even consider the possibility, but he does want a copy.
