A DAY AT THE RACES
OH BAMA!!
I think I’m going to join a church that preaches a ‘White Value System’. (Kind of like a ‘Black Value System’ only with half the melanin.) You know, just like the one Obama goes to. A church that tells you to spend your money only at black businesses and to be cautious of those wearing sunscreen. Granted, it sounds pretty stupid and God only knows what other kind of bullshit they’d preach there, but who cares? I’m thinking of running for President.
Maybe I’ll call it, Church of… ‘THE RACE’. Catchy.
On second thought, don’t want people thinking I’m racist. Hmm. Tell ya what. I’m no idiot. What I’ll do is translate the words into Spanish (who doesn’t love Spanish?) and instead of calling it THE RACE, I’ll call it LA RAZA. Only, jazz it up with some italics and an exclamation point. LA RAZA! Sounds way better too. Not as white. Which is good ‘cause sheep can’t read.
I’ve got a message for all you Browny’s, Blacky’s, Yellows, Pinks, Half Pinks, Reds, Whites and Off-Whites. Take your ‘color’ and stick it up your ass. I’m sick of you and your stupid race club. If you’re an American, be that and shut up. Stop your bitching. I don’t care what color you are. If you’re British, be British. Pledge allegiance to that flag and no other. Nobody gives a crap about your stupid ass tint or where you came from. They’re too damned busy living their lives. Just be proud of where you are and thank God you’ve got it so good. And stop thinking that you’re somehow ‘special’ because you’re gay. Nobody gives a snot about that either. Sexual preference does not define who you are. Character does. Pride? Christ, if you want to take pride in something DO something worthy of taking pride in. Fucking somebody doesn’t count. Neither does jerking off a 7 foot inflatable cock at a parade. That only makes you look like an idiot.
You can also take your Sharia Nazi honor killing bullshit and stick that up your ass. We don’t rape and murder our women over here because they listen to Madonna. Hell, we don’t even execute child murderers anymore. (We would, but the courts let them all go.)
Wether you’re born or imported, pay some respect to those who died for your privilege of being here. And when you travel to other lands? Be an ambassador, to and from, your host country. Be humble. Respect it’s values and culture. Do not spit on the traditions they hold dear. If you’re in a Muslim country, please don’t parade your tattoo around to show off how liberated you are. It’s offensive. And if you’re from a Muslim country, please leave your Burka at home. We’ve had enough slavery over here.
Either way, do me a big favor and Shut the f*ck up.
The sane people of the world have had enough of you, and your squeaky wheel is beginning to grade on those riding the bus.
E pluribus unum

Ok, I’m going to have to digest this a bit and read it over a few times… I gather someone’s really upset you. I love your blog Colin, its funny sometimes which is great, but you don’t worry about commenting on the serious stuff when you think it needs to be said. And here I was thinking it was going to be a blog about a movie I liked.
I wish it was as simple as ‘We are all Americans’ or ‘We are all Australians’ despite our colour or country of origin and believe me Australia is the most multi-cultural country in the world, and mostly, people are happy to be here, happy to be Australian, happy to leave their troubles behind and embrace the Australian culture, but unfortunately not everyone is and unfortunately they are the ones that ‘squeak the loudest’
It is frustrating and it obviously makes you mad, and it makes me mad, and it also makes me afraid for my children’s future with all the loonies out there. However, I guess in the end you just have to have hope and have faith the the sane will prevail.
Hey Bex. Appreciate the comments and concern.
And no, nobody’s ‘upset me’. I’m still laughing. Cracking up in fact.
I’m just spending a little too much time in the USA where ‘race’ dominates politics and the spirits of those that are, well… racist. Well, at least those who smell the money in it. God knows we have a few CEO’s out there of every color. People with no arms or legs… Cripples. Deaf, dumb and blind… Millionaires baby! And they’re amazed at what they’ve achieved.
Curious…
It’s sad. It’s hilarious. It’s 3 years hard labour (if I’m convicted.)
Willing to do the time. Sometime wonder how much is left?
I’ll write about Lasagna tomorrow.
C.
Good.. I love Lasagna LOL!!
This reminded me of an adam ant song (Kick, if you were curious) I always say Human when asked my race. ( It can be a hard sell sometimes, especially when I’m pre caffinated, but I fit most of the criterea) I too get tired of people using race and orientation as an excuse. I was dragged up to believe Folk are Folk, treat them all as you would wish to be treated.
Yes there is still a long way to go before we achieve true equality and there have been many attrocities commited against the various races (all of us have that in common in varying degrees) but while I believe we can learn from the past we shouldn’t wallow in it. Just my humble thoughts on the subject. :D
Great news about the Oscars, those of us in the U.K. may finally get to see this film.
Hey Colin…
Want to borrow my “Anti-Racist” shirt ??
seriously….
look here: http://pics.livejournal.com/mai_ling/tags/anti-racist/
more laterz…
Getting a “404 not found” again for the “Sign in” link…just FYI, obviously not a huge problem.
I’d comment, Colin, but I’m learning about Deaf culture and community as part of my ASL studies. Even though I’m a “hearie”, I’m already wondering why Deaf Culture is not included in multicultural events. grin
Any Deaf reading this blog are welcome to contact me at gmccarroll at mail.accd.edu, my San Antonio College address.

Racism never goes away because there will always be people with nothing more to be proud of than something they were born with accidentally. i.e., “Well, I may be a complete loser but at least I’m __.” Arguing with them is like wrestling with a pig. You both get dirty but the pig enjoys it. “Shut the fuck up” covers it nicely.
Hm. That reminds me of a rant I had recently over the stupidity of the state purchasing system. Well, technically, the whole Equal Opportunity thing rubs me the wrong way. Okay, don’t take that the wrong way — I am all for equal opportunity, but the way they’ve got it set up here is just so ass backwards.
Right. So, here’s the set up — the state has a contract out for bid. One person bidding on it has lots of experience, great referals, and a low price that would save the state lots of money. The other person has no experience, doesn’t have the materials to do the job on hand, and is charging double… but he wins the bid. Why? Because the second party is a minority and according to state regulations, you have to award it to the minority no matter what - if you don’t they’re going to go complain.
A big WTF to that. As a “minority,” I’m personally offended by the idea that in order to fill the position with a “minority,” you have to fill it with an idiot who can’t even do the job! Ugh.
We can help eliminate racism and all those other annoying -isms if people would only stop pointing them out and waving them around as excuses or justification. huffs
And now that I’m annoyed (but awake!) I’ll shut up and go away.
Keep on talkin’ Cyn. You’re making nothing but sense to me.
C.
Oh My Gosh Cyn! Is that true? The have to award it to the minority no matter what?
Thats just insane!! Why is it that if there is a problem in this world, well in our countries anyway, instead of trying to balance the problem, they tip the scales way over in the other direction. Thats just as bad and is no help to anyone. You wonder if eventually it will tip back to where it should be and sanity will prevail. Here’s hoping!
Hey Colin,
You and I had an in-depth conversation a few weeks back at a club, and I agree with you 100%. I am sure that you have had several conversations, similar to ours, with others since then. It sounds like you have discovered that there are several people that feel the same way we do. It’s nice to see that I’m not the only lone sheep out there. When are you planning on opening your church “LA RAZA”? Can we all wear the same masks, as they did in V for Vendetta? One more suggestion - can we all were black gloves? Then this way I can cover the Rose Tattoo on my left hand. I want to be able to have conversations with everyone, including Muslims. It’s good to hear that you can laugh about it. I too share in your laughter. Oh, one more thing- you also need to update you personal bio on IMDB. You love entertaining people with your magic tricks. I loved them! Hope all is well with you and your family.
P.S. - say Hi to Rob for me.
Margie (wckdkty)
Bexter - yes, that’s true. Because if they don’t, the minority vendor can go to the court system and complain of unfair treatment, so while it might not be official policy, it’s most certainly the practice to avoid the hastle and bad press. The same goes for state employment, but applicants for that aren’t generally as whiny if they don’t get the job.
Personally, I’d rather win the job because I’m the best candidate, not because they have to fill some quota or because they’re afraid of being sued. Clearly, other people don’t have this problem and will use whatever advantage they can.
To clarify: there is no written law that says the state must purchase from a minority owned business, however, various groups working within the government (such as the Division of Minority and the Division of Human Rights) have made it very difficult to do otherwise. Because of that, it’s just become official unofficial policy to award the bid to the minority applicant rather than risk a fight with those groups.
In February 2007, the Governor signed an excutive order to create the Executive Leadership Council and Corporate Roundtable that will, “seek to improve the participation of MWBE businesses in the state’s procurement process”. That along with quotas regulating what percentage of contracts go to minority/women-owned business it’s all, in my opinion, nothing more than people working for preferential treatment under the guise of equality.
As a female member of a minority group, all that crap seriously riks me.
