METHOD FEST

| | Comments (8)

Hey everyone.

Just a quick update to say that The Method Fest was absolutely wonderful. And… we picked up 2 nominations. Best Short and Best Actor.

Not only that, I actually won for Best Actor!!!

Yeeee Haaaaa!!!! And I have to say, I’ve never before seen such astonishing work at a festival. The shorts that they put together for this festival were some of the finest films I have ever seen. Just mind blowing work. Had a lot of good friends there too. Bri McQuair, JR Bourne, Mike Rudd, Phil Hayes, Rob Stilson, Mark Rickerby, Claudia Rickerby, Derek Horne, Ali Nakelski, Paul McGillion, Stevie Styles… and of course my Dad. It was a great week and it was a real blast to finally take an award.

That said… so far, the little film that could has screened ‘in competition’ in Montreal. Nominated for Best Emerging Director in Vancouver. Made the Top Ten lists in both Santa Barbara and Palm Springs and now, a nomination for Best Short, and a win for Best Actor. Not bad.

We’ve also been accepted as part of the film market in Cannes AND been asked to screen at the exceptional Jackson Hole International Film Festival in Wyoming.

All we need now is to win the lottery. My god this stuff costs money. Anyway, just wanted to give you guys a quick update.

Thanks again everyone for all the support. Thank you Method Fest!!

Sincerely,

Colin

Congratulations Colin!! It is a testimony to your skill and perseverance! How wonderful not only to win, but to do it with you Dad and so many friends there as well.

And if I hit on the Mega Millions, I’d be happy to donate to the cause!

Hugs,

Jane

I’m really really happy for you Colin. I did try and get people to your film to support you, and I must say I was totally impressed with my own wonderful friends who emailed their friends and family in LA with all the info and said “go if you can!”

You ARE a great actor so its no surprise to me that you won an award. If Method Fest is on same time next year I may even be able to go myself. Come on Colin…. you have one year to produce another fantastic short so I can watch it at Method Fest. (I am only joking by the way) If I suddenly get rich…. I’ll finance it for you :-)

That’s wonderful news, Colin, and thoroughly deserved!

This is one of those films that you can’t help but keep watching again and again and often find yourself thinking about. Everything about it is truly outstanding and deserves all the acclaim and much much more!

Well done, Colin! Greatly deserved award. Everything I read and hear about this film makes me want to watch it more and more. Sometimes it sucks being stuck in Britain and missing out on all the exciting stuff. Any update on when we’ll be able to buy a copy? Any chance you could make your next project an ‘on location’ shoot and come over here? LOL There are some great locations not far from me (including the pits where they filmed the Peter Cushing Dalek movie!) and Cardiff seems to be the new Canada in terms of a popular place for shooting films and TV, due to its varied landscapes and such like. Whatever you do next, here’s hoping it is as well received as Centigrade.

Congratulation Colin - long overdue. Any chance we’ll get to see the film in Australia? Even if it’s purchasing a download, like I did for Sanctuary.

Hope the lottery works out for you. If not please know that while we’re not rich, there are probably plenty of CC fans out there like myself that would be happy to do their bit to help.

Cheers, Chev
